Guidelines

When it comes to promoting interest in Minneapolis-Moline tractors and machinery, you won't find a more versatile group of MM enthusiasts than those who make up the MM Collectors. The club was organized by MM fans to share knowledge, memorabilia, stories, parts and anything else about Minneapolis-Moline and all of its predecessor companies.

In 1997, to be sure the MM legacy reaches younger generations, the Collectors established an annual scholarship, which is now worth $750. The Minneapolis-Moline Collectors are unique in making a scholarship available each year to anyone who is a current MMCI member, member's child or grandchild. The applicant must attend either a vocational school, a two year college, or a four year college Each applicant is selected based on answers to three questions: What are your education goals? What are your future plans following your education? And, why do you feel you deserve the scholarship?

If you or a family member is interested in applying for the scholarship, you may complete the scholarship form from this Web site. (Contact information is below.)

Click on the link to the application, print a copy, complete and send. You must also send a copy of the Letter of Acceptance to a school you plan to attend after high school, or your current status at the college, trade school, or university you are attending. Do ONE of these options:

  • Scan the original document and email,
  • or take apicture of the original document and email,
  • or ask the Admissions department to email a copy of the document
  • or just send a copy of the document (letter of acceptance) in postal mail with your submitted application.

Be sure to ask for a Received Receipt when you email so you have confirmation that your application arrived. And print a copy of your completed application for your records!

The scholarship winner is announced at the MM Collectors Summer Show, so application must be received prior to the summer show. The deadline changes each year, based on the show dates. Due one month prior to MMCI Summer Show.

2017 Winners

The following information is for our two $1,000 scholarship winners.

Ashley Solvie of Hancock MN is the granddaughter of member Dennis Solvie. She is attending South Dakota State University in Brookings SD. She is working towards an Ag Business degree with an accounting minor.

Matthew J. Maveus of Monroe WI is the grandson of member Merlin Maveus. He is attending Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore WI. He is enrolled in the Ag power and Equipment Technician program.

Both recipients had outstanding applications. It was a tough time deciding This year between the several applicants we had. We thank everyone that applied and encourage others to apply in the future.
